Learn to Fly Fish for Trout & Salmon

Fishing is a wonderful way to experience and enjoy the wild grandeur of Scotland. A day fishing in the habitat of eagle, osprey, red deer, otter and pine marten will have you hooked on the Highlands for life.

FISHING SCOTLAND fly fishing excursions are held at select Highland lochs and streams. Apart from fishing amid such scenic grandeur there's the immense historic and cultural significance so evident throughout Lochaber.

The loch which was the lair of the three witches of "Macbeth" and did exclaim such power of the elements to command ‘where shall we meet again, in thunder, lightening or in rain’. Lochan Luna Da-Bhra or Loch Lundavra with it’s beautiful wee islands and wild fighting brown trout is hidden in the hills above Fort William. 

Then there’s the numerous sites of castles, grand houses and battles between the red coat’s and the clansmen, the clansmen among themselves not to mention Charlie the pretender sticking his oar in... All our fishing locations come close to what is frequently described as instant wilderness, without going on an expedition. Ideal for picnic’s, plenty of space, super for kids, a great way to see and appreciate the freedom of the Highlands. Have a day, or two or three!

Learning to cast a fly and try to out smart these wild wee broon troot and enjoy the affray that follows when you do. And what surprise you’ll exclaim when your adversary turns out to be a wee fellow of 3/4 of a pound! Our excursions are totally inclusive of all tackle, state of the art graphite rods, reel, line, casts, all the right flies you need, a landing net of course. Just you arrive dressed for the weather, bring a hearty packed lunch and we’ll have a magic day.
