After your days’ fishing stay in the elegant surroundings of Lochaber’s most historic house. Tirindrish House is the home of hero Donald MacDonnell who, with a handful of fellow Highlanders, launched the first skirmish of the 1745 Jacobite rebellion.

Our house is situated in 16 tranquil acres of matured lands with wonderful views over the Nevis range mountains. We are just a 10-minute walk from Spean Bridge village which has excellent restaurants and two hotels, both serving meals. We have three bedrooms – a family room accommodating three, a double and twin. All have large ensuite bathrooms with bath/shower. We serve breakfast in an elegant dining room and our guests can relax after their day out in a sitting room which boasts a log fire and large collection of books.

If you’re a lover of walks in the countryside, Tirindrish House could not be better situated. We are close to fantastic walks in local forests, bike trails, and the famous West Highland Way. Also within easy reach is the gondola to Nevis Range with views to Ben Nevis, the Caledonian Canal and the small town of Fort William – all no more than 15 minutes drive. For those who travel by train, Spean Bridge is on the Caledonian Sleeper route and we are happy to pick up guests from the station.

Guest staying with us often remark on our gardens, which have splendid trees and in the spring are a mass of daffodils and bluebells. A special feature is our tennis court which guests are welcome to use. For those who prefer self-catering we have three excellent cottages in the grounds, accommodating between four and six. Outwith the peak season they are available for short breaks.
